As the first week of December unfolded, I expected it to be busy, social, and full of movement. And in many ways, it was, but the universe also had other ideas, gently steering me into something I didnāt realise I needed:
JOMO; the joy of missing out.
This week has been a blend of stillness, softness, unexpected cancellations, and small pockets of quiet magic.
I didnāt get out for my usual long walks.
Plans to see friends back in the Midlands disappeared at the last minute.
And instead of resisting it, the universe nudged me to soften into the space that appeared.
And something beautiful happened.

I found myself back at my Midlands house with Percy, my daughterās dog, whom I enjoy looking after regularly, preparing my home for Christmas. All my grown up children helped with the prep! I havenāt been able to do this with them properly for a couple of years.
I drove across town to collect a potted Christmas tree (which just about fit into my tiny car!), brought it home, and decorated it with my grown-up children. Slow moments, warm lights, laughter, and that gentle togetherness you canāt plan; it all became the heart of my week.
It felt grounding.
Comforting.
Unexpectedly healing.

š Gemini Full Moon ā Thursday 4th December
This week brought us the Super Full Moon in Gemini, peaking on Thursday 4th December, and with it a moment of clarity and emotional release.
This full moon highlights:
what youāve been carrying all year
the mental loops that drain you
where resentment or tiredness has built up
what youāre finally ready to lay down before 2026
Itās the final full moon of the calendar year, and the last chapter in the 2025 Supermoon trilogy, so it naturally brings a sense of completion and reflection.
A beautiful Gemini Full Moon check-in:
What have I achieved this year?
What havenāt I achieved ā and why?
What do I want now?
What do I no longer want to carry into next year?
After this lunation, the energy softens. Ideas begin to move again. Imagination wakes up. The sense of possibility slowly returns.
But clarity cannot arrive through exhaustion.
Your dreams grow from rest, not depletion.
A Week of Quiet Magic š
My only proper walk this week was with Percy, short, peaceful, grounding, in between rain showers; but even without my usual nature trails, the signs were everywhere:
In the soft glow of the tree.
In the quiet evenings with candles lit.
In the cosy moments with my children and my dog.
In the stillness that unfolded when plans dropped away.
Sometimes the most powerful walk is the one we take inside our own home.
Sometimes the universe clears our schedule so we can finally hear ourselves again.
Sometimes rest finds you when you donāt know how to choose it.
And this week was exactly that.

āØA gentle reminder for you āØ
If youāve been travelling, helping others, giving your energy, or simply trying to keep up with the pace of the season⦠This week invites you to soften.
Slow down.
Breathe.
Save your energy.
Choose simplicity.
Nature isnāt rushing, and we arenāt meant to either.
The quieter you become, the more clearly you hear yourselfā¦
